The Agritursmo “Montefiore” takes its name (Hill of the flowers) from the ancient appearance of the hill on which it is built. The building was the first towered house in the region and dates from the seventeenth century.
This gives the building its importance in the area. It provides a place where one can restore the ways and simplicities of living in harmony with nature.
This environment allows the visitor to rediscover the natural rhythms of life making for a relaxing and restoring stay.
The interior of the building has been designed to reflect the genius of a famous local artist, Marco Verdiglione representing a creative blend of traditional and modern furniture and decor.
The main communal living room features a grand fire place, a reading corner, a games table and a space for informal socialisation for the guests as well as the usual television facilities.
There is a tasting room converted from the ancient wine cellars. Guests are invited to participate in guided tastings of local produce such as wine, cheese, honey and olive oil.
